The CASLPA code of ethics was last revised in 1992. In light of new developments and new forms of practice, it has now been revised following consultation with the full membership and an extensive two-year review by a task force committee. The Code governs all CASLPA members and requires that they observe the values of integrity, professionalism, caring and respect, high standards and continuing competency. It also addresses core standards which must be adhered to, including business practices, conflict of interest, records, research, privacy and other elements. The standards within the Code are also the standards that form the basis of actions and decisions of the CASLPA ethics committee. Note: The use of the masculine form throughout this document is intended only to make reading easier.
Lodging a Complaint Against a CASLPA Member Anyone has the right to complain about the professional conduct of a member of CASLPA. Complaints must be submitted in writing and contain specifics of the alleged infraction and the concern of the complainant. |
